Ma Johnsons’ Goolash

  • Yield 6 servings


1 pound lean hamburger
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1/4 onion cup onion chopped
1/4 cup green pepper chopped
1 can tomato sauce
1 can tomato,okra,corn
1/4 cup mushrooms chopped
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon oregano leaves
1/2 teaspoon basil
1/2 pound shell-roni or penne
1 cup velvetta,american cheese,or cheese of your choice


Brown hamburger,onion,garlic,green pepper

While hamburger is browning, cook shell-roni, or penne as directed on box.

Drain hamburger if needed;add tomato sauce,mixed vegetables.

Add seasonings,

Add shell-roni,or penne,

Add cheese ,cook until cheese is hot and bubbly.

   Serve with garlic bread .
