Lazy Lady Chocolate Cake

  • Yield 15-18 pieces


3 cups Flour
2 cups Sugar
2 tablespoons Cocoa
2 teaspoons Baking Soda
1 teaspoon Salt
12 tablespoons Oil
2 tablespoons White Vinegar
2 teaspoons Vanilla
2 cups Cold Water


  1. Sift dry ingredients together into a 9X13 baking pan. (no need to flour or grease).
  2. Make 3 wells in the dry ingredients
  3. add the oil into the first well
  4. add the vinegar into the second well
  5. add the vanilla into the third well
  6. Pour the 2 cups of cold water over all of the ingredients and mix well with a fork.  (I always used a fork because my grandmother and mother taught me that way–I am sure a wisk would work as well).
  7. Bake at  375 degrees for 25 minutes.
