2/3 cup Oleo or butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 -- eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup cocoa
2 1/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup water
2/3 cup drained & chopped sauerkraut


Cream butter and sugar

Beat in eggs one at a time

Add vanilla

Sift together all dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture alternately with water.

Stir in chopped and drained kraut.

Spray two 8 inch round pans with baking spray

Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. 

Turn out onto platter and frost with favorite frosting or sprinkle with powdered sugar
