Italian Love Cake

  • Yield 10-12 servings


1 -- Devil's food cake mix
2 pounds Ricotta
4 -- eggs
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup amaretto
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup milk
8 ounces Cool Whip
1 box Instant chocolate pudding
1 whole chocolate cand bar


  1.  Preheat oven to 325.
  2. Grease and flour 9x13x2 glass dish.
  3. Prepare cake mix using 3/4c water and amaretto.
  4. Pour batter into dish.
  5. With mixer, blend ricotta, eggs, sugar and vanilla.
  6. Spoon mixture evenly over cake batter.
  7. Do not mix.
  8.  Bake for 11/2 hours or until tester comes out dry.
  9.  Cool in pan. Prepare pudding with milk .
  10. Place in mixer and add Cool Whip.
  11.  Beat at low speed.
  12.  Spread pudding mixture over cooled cake.
  13. Using potato peeler, make chocolate curls for top of cake.
