Ice Water Fudge Cake

  • Yield 16 servings

Ingredients

2 1/2 cups sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3/4 cup butter
3 large eggs
3 ounces unsweetend baking chocolate
3 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoons Baking soda
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups ice water

Instructions

  1. Combine  first three ingredients, beat until fluffy.
  2. Add eggs, beaten until light and fluffy,  and melted unsweetened chocolate.
  3. Sift together flour, baking soda and salt. 
  4. Add dry ingredients and 1 1/2 cups ice water alternately,
  5. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes.  (I use 3 eight inch round pans or 9 x 13).
