Hushpuppies
Ingredients
- 35ounces cornmeal
- 35ounces all purpose flour
- 2ounces salt
- 10.5ounces sugar
- 2ounces baking powder
- 7 eggs
- 5 1/2cups milk
- 11.5ounces butter, melted
Instructions
- Mix dry ingredients in pastry standing mixer.
- Combine wet into dry ingredients and mix until there are no more large lumps.
- Fry in 1.5 ounce portions at 350F until the hush puppy is golden brown and cooked through. Season with salt and pepper.
