Hot Pepper Jelly (Red)
- Yield 4 cups
Serve with cream cheese and crackers for a delicious snack or appetizer.
- 1/3 cup jalapeno peppers
- 2/3 cup bell peppers
- 1 1/2 cups vinegar
- 6 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 small bottle pectin
- Seed peppers and chop. Mix peppers, vinegar, and sugar in a saucepan. Boil for 1 minute. Cool 5 minutes. Add pectin and a few drops of red food coloring. Pour into hot sterizlized jelly glasses and seal.
- Be sure to use gloves when grinding or chopping jalapeno peppers as they burn the hands.
