PrintEmail Ingredients 1 cup plain flour3/4 cup granulated sugar2 tablespoons cocoa2 teaspoons baking powder1/4 teaspoon salt1/2 cup milk2 tablespoons salad oil1 teaspoon vanilla1 cup chopped nuts1 cup brown sugar, packed1/4 cup cocoa1 3/4 cups hot tap water -- Vanilla ice cream Instructions Heat oven to 350F. In ungreased square 9x9x2-inch pan stir together flour, granulated sugar, 2 tablespoons cocoa, baking powder and salt. Mix in milk, oil and vanilla with fork until smooth; stir in nuts. Spread evenly in pan. Sprinkle with brown sugar and 1/4 cup cocoa. Pour hot water over batter; bake 40 minutes. Let stand 15 minutes. Spoon into dessert dishes or cut into squares. Invert squares on plate. Top with ice cream and spoon sauce over each serving.
