Homemade Sanding Sugar

- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon food coloring gel or liquid
- 1 pint ziploc bag
Measure out a cup of sugar for EACH color you want to make.
Add the sugar and the color to the ziploc bag and seal shut removing all the air from the bag.
Shake and massage the food coloring into the sugar until it is well blended.
Pour onto a cookie sheet and spread out evenly. Allow to air dry for at least an hour or until sugar is no longer moist.
Store in air tight container.
