Holiday Apple Crisp

A not-too-sweet apple dessert.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds tart cooking apples
- 1 (16-ounce) can jellied cranberry sauce
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup old-fashioned oatmeal
- 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 5 tablespoons margarine, chilled and cut into pieces
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- Peel and core apples and slice thin. Arrange in a 9-inch square baking dish coated with nonstick cooking spray. Spread cranberry sauce evenly over apples.
- Mix cinnamon, oatmeal, flour, brown sugar and vanilla together. Cut in margarine until crumbly. Spread mixture over cranberry layer and bake about 40 minutes.
