Highlander Grogg Trifle

1 3/4cups flour
2cups sugar
3/4cup cocoa powder
1teaspoon baking powder
1teaspoon baking soda
1teaspoon salt
2-- eggs
1cup strong brewed Highlander Grogg flavored coffee
1cup buttermilk
1/2cup vegetable oil
1teaspoon vanilla
1-3ounce instant butterscotch pudding mix
1/4cup powdered sugar
1cup cold milk
1-8ounce container of whipped Topping
1 -8ounce container of whipped topping
1cup Bits of Brickle or crushed Butter Brickle candy bars


Combine flour,sugar,cocoa,baking soda,baking powder,and salt in a large bowl.

Add eggs,coffee,buttermilk,oil and vanilla.

Beat at medium speed for 2 mins. * batter will be thin

Pour batter into 2 greased 9 in. cake pans

Bake at 350 degrees for about 30-35 mins.

Cool cake

cut into about 1 to 2 inch cubes

First Layer: cover bottom of a glass bowl or Trifle bowl with Butterscotch Cream

Second Layer cake cubes to cover first layer

Third layer Butterscotch cream to cover cake layer

Fourth Layer whipped topping

Continue above layer in same order

End with whipped topping and sprinkle with 1 cup Bits of Brinkle topping or crushed Butter Brickle type candy bars
