You are here: Home » Recipes » Harvest Loaf Cake Harvest Loaf Cake Recipe by MargaretKicken Yield 18 servings PrintEmail Ingredients 1 3/4 cups flour1 teaspoon soda1 teaspoon cinnamon1/2 teaspoon salt1/2 teaspoon nutmeg1/4 teaspoon ginger1/4 teaspoon ground cloves1/2 cup butter1 cup sugar2 -- eggs3/4 cup cooked or canned pumpkin3/4 cup chocolate chips3/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)1/2 cup powdered sugar1/8 teaspoon cinnamon1/8 teaspoon nutmeg1 or 2 teaspoon milk to make consistancy of glaze Instructions Oven 350 degrees 9 X 5 in loaf pan Grease bottom of 9X5 inch loaf pan. Combine flour with soda, salt and spices. Cream butter. Gradually add sugar, cream well. Blend in eggs, beat well. At low speed add dry ingredients alternately with pumkin, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Turn into prepared pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 65 to 75 minutes. Drizzle with glaze. Let stand at least 6 hours before slicing.
