Hannibal Traditional Maid-Rites
- Yield 8 servings
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon instant minced onion
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups boiling water
- 8 -- hamburger buns
Brown meat lightly–crumble as much as possible and drain off grease.
Add vinegar, onion and salt. Stir well.
Add boiling water.
Cover and let simmer until meat is tender and most of liquid has evaporated.
Serve on steamed buns with mustard and dill pickle slices
