Green Goddess Dressing 1

The original recipe, created in the 1920s in San Francisco, called for anchovies to be added. This is a vegetarian version.


1/2 cup low-fat mayonnaise
1/2 cup low-fat sour cream
1/2 cup low-fat plain yogurt
1/4 cup chopped parsley
1/4 cup minced chives
1 tablespoon chopped tarragon
2 teaspoons sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice


  1. Process all ingredients together in a food processor fitted with the metal blade or puree in a blender until smooth. Makes 3 cups.
