Grapefruit and Vodka Sorbet
- Yield 8 servings
The vodka gives this sorbet a creamy texture.
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 cups fresh pink grapefruit juice (about 2 to 2 1/2 grapefruits)
- 1 tablespoon vodka
- Mint springs for garnish
- In a medium saucepan, heat the water and sugar until the sugar melts and the mixture stars to boil. Boil for 2 minutes. Remove from the heat and cool completely.
- Stir in the grapefruit juice. Add the vodka. Pour into an ice cream maker and process according to the manufacturer’s directions.
- When finished, pour into an airtight container and freeze until ready to serve.
