PrintEmail Ingredients 1/2 cup sesame seeds1/2 cup shelled sunflower seeds1/4 cup wheat germ3/4 cup honey3/4 cup chunky peanut butter3 cups oat flakes1/2 cup walnuts, filberts, or almonds1/3 cup dried apricots1/3 cup dried prunes1/3 cup raisins Instructions Spread the sesame sees in a 7×11-inch baking dish and cook uncovered in the microwave for 5 minutes or until seeds are golden brown. Stir seeds several times while cooking. Set aside. Follow same procedure for sunflower seeds and wheat germ. Place honey in a 2-quart bowl and microwave 2 1/2 minutes. Add peanut butter and cook 1 minute longer. Combine sunflower seeds, wheat germ, honey mixture, oat flakes, nuts, apricots, prunes, and raisins; mix well. Spread half of the sesame seeds back into the baking dish. Press the oat mixture into the pan. Sprinkle top with remaining sesame seeds and press firmly. Chill 1 hour.
