Cream white and brown sugars with 1/2 c butter. Add the eggs and oats with the sugars and the vanilla. Sift flour, soda, cinnamon and salt. Add flour mix to creamed mix spread in a 9×13 pan bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes (don't grease or flour the pan) Meanwhile melt together the next amount of brown sugar, milk, butter and vanilla, add the coconut and nuts. Pour over the cake and bake an additional 10-15 minutes until brown.
