PrintEmail My mom made this simple raisin pie for the kids when she couldn't afford to buy more expensive ingredients for dessert. It was a treat for everyone. Ingredients 2 cups California Raisins2 cups water, divided1/2 cup brown sugar4 tablespoons flour1 teaspoon cinnamon1/8 teaspoon salt1 tablespoon vinegar1 tablespoon butter1 unbaked pie shell Instructions Preheat oven to 425F. Boil raisins in 1 3/4 cups of water 5 minutes. Mix brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, salt and remaining 1/4 cup water. Add to raisins. Stir until mixture returns to a boil.
