Good Cookies

  • Yield 6 dozens

Filled with Rice Krispies, oatmeal, coconut and nuts, these truly are good cookies.


1 cup brown sugar
1 cup margarine
1 cup white sugar
1 cup vegetable oil
1 cup Rice Krispies
1 cup oatmeal
1 cup coconut
1 cup nuts
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 1/2 cups flour


  1. Mix all ingredients together. Roll into walnut-size balls and flatten on a greased cookie sheet. Sprinkle each cookie with 1 teaspoon of red, white and green sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.
