golden layer cake

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup cup shortning
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 1/1/2 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
Instructions
Measure and mix dry ingredients. Add shortening and 2/3 cup milk and mix with electric mixer for 2 minutes. Add remaining ingredients and blend for 2 more minutes. Pour into 2 paper lined, greased, 9 1/2 inch cake pans. Bake at 350 for 30 min. put out onto rack to cool. Frost as you like. Serve.
