You are here: Home » Recipes » Girl Scout Camp Chocolate Cake Girl Scout Camp Chocolate Cake Recipe by SEIowagal Yield 6 - 9 servings PrintEmail Ingredients 1 1/2 cups flour1 cup sugar1/4 cup cocoa powder1 teaspoon baking soda1/2 teaspoon salt1/2 cup chopped nuts, optional1/3 cup canola or vegetable oil1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar1 teaspoon vanilla1 cup water Instructions Stir together all dry ingredients in a medium size bowl. Then add the liquid ingredients, and stir by hand until well combined. Pour into a 9 x 9 inch cake pan. (I just mix everything together in my cake pan with a fork!) Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes. Serve cake warm, or you can top it with ice cream, or whipped cream. If you prefer you can frost it after it has cooled, but I warn you that it probably won't be around long enough to frost! Makes just enough for an after-school snack or for a family dinner. Enjoy!
