Ginger Cookies

  • Yield: 4 dozen


1 1/2cups margarine, melted
1/2cup molasses
2cups sugar
2-- eggs
4cups flour
4teaspoons soda
2teaspoons cinnamon
1teaspoon ginger
1teaspoon cloves
-- sugar


  1. Preheat oven to 350F.  Add molasses, sugar and eggs to the margarine.  Beat well.  Sift together and add to this mixture flour, soda and spices.  Refrigerate the dough for several hours.   Make into small balls.  Roll in sugar.  Bake until firm or brown, about 8 to 10 minutes.
