PrintEmail Ingredients 1 cup brown sugar2 cups granulated sugar1 cup water1 tablespoon butter1/4 teaspoon salt1 teaspoon vanilla3 cups pecan halves Instructions Line baking sheets with waxed paper. In saucepan combine sugars and water. Stir over medium heat until sugars are melted. Bring to boil; boil to soft ball stage (236F). Remove from heat; stir in butter, salt and vanilla. Beat until syrup starts to become creamy. Stir in pecans. Drop by teaspoon onto baking sheets. If candy becomes too hard to drop from spoon, place pan over hot water; stir a few drops of hot water into mixture to soften.
