Georgia Peach Ice Cream

  • Yield 32 servings

If you can't find Georgia peaches, any lush ripe fresh peaches will work fine.

4 cups whole milk
2 cups half-and-half
1 (5-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 cup sugar
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
12 ripe peaches, pitted and chopped
1 cup sugar

  1. Combine 2 cups milk, the half-and-half, condensed milk, sugar and vanilla. Place in a blender and puree until smooth and well combined. Add remaining 2 cups milk. Refrigerate overnight.
  2. In another container, mix the peaches and sugar and refrigerate overnight.
  3. When ready to freeze the ice cream, combine the milk mixture with the peaches. Place in an ice cream freezer and freeze according to manufacturer’s directions 30 to 35 minutes until creamy and smooth. Makes 16 cups
