Fresh Fruit Granita

We love to buy fresh citrus for this granita, but any juice will work, including bottled pomegranate or blueberry.
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 4 cups fresh juice (such as orange, tangerine or grapefruit)
- 1 to 2 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- Dissolve sugar in water over medium heat. (You’ve just made a “simple syrup.”) Let cool. Stir in juices. Pour into a shallow pan, cover and freeze at least 4 hours. Once frozen, scrape with a fork.
