French Coconut Pie

3-- egg whites
1 1/2cups sugar
1/2cup melted butter
4teaspoons vinegar
1teaspoon vanilla extract
1-- (3-ounce) can flaked coconut
1-- unbaked (9-inch) pie shell


  1. Beat egg whites in a mixer bowl until stiff.  Add the sugar, butter, vinegar, vanilla and coconut, beating well.  Spoon into the pie shell.  Bake at 350F until set.  Cool on a wire rack.
