Family Fiesta Meat Loaf

.5 cup chopped onion
.5 cup chopped celery
.25 cup chopped green pepper
2 tablespoons butter
1 (12oz) unit bottle chili sauce
1.5 pounds lean ground beef
.5 cup dry bread crumbs
1 -- egg, slightly beaten
to taste -- salt and pepper


Saute onion, celery and green pepper in butter until tender. Stir in chili sauce. Conbine 1/2 cup of this mixture with remaining ingredients and form a loaf.  Put in 8X4X1.5 pan. Bake in 350 oven, approximatly 1 hour. Let stand 5 minutes before slicing. Serve remaining sauce on the side to pour over meat.
