Fabulous Fudge Sauce

  • Yield 2 cups

Try this rich and tasty fudge sauce on your favorite ice cream.


1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon instand coffee granules
2 tablespoons rum
1/3 cup baking cocoa
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 cup heavy cream
2 teaspoons vanilla extract


  1. Melt the butter in a saucepan and stir in the sugar, coffee granules, rum, baking cocoa, cinnamon and salt.  Add the heavy cream.  Bring to a boil and reduce the heat.  Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring frequently.  Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla.  Serve warm or cool.
