East Texas Catfish

  • Yield 4 servings

A simple and flavorful broiled catfish.


4 tablespoons butter
2 teaspoons paprika
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon fresh thyme, minced
1 tablespoon fresh oregano, minced
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 -- fresh catfish fillets


  1. Heat broiler.  Melt butter and combine with spices, herbs and salt.  Coat fillets with mixture.  Broil until opaque throughout, about 6 minutes per side.
