Drinkable Chocolate

  • Yield 6 servings


4 cups milk
6 ounces bittersweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup cocoa powder, preferably dark or dutch processed
1/2 cup white sugar
1/4 cup cream


  1. In a double boiler, mix milk, chocolate, cocoa, and sugar.Cook, stirring occasionally with a whisk, until melted and smooth. 
  2. Stir in cream. 
  3. It is now ready to be ladled into small cups.  If desired, top with whipped cream.
