Cocoon Cookies

These delicate cookies are wonderful with a cup of tea.


1 cup butter, softened
4 tablespoons powdered sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup chopped nuts
1 teaspoon vanilla


  1. Cream butter. Stir in sugar and flour. Add nuts and vanilla.
  2. Roll heaping teaspoon with hand into small cocoon shape.
  3. Bake at 300F for 45 minutes.

NOTE: Roll in powdered sugar after they’ve cooled, if desired.
