You are here: Home » Recipes » Chocolate Pounders Cake Chocolate Pounders Cake Recipe by LMontB Yield 12-24 servings PrintEmail Ingredients 2 sticks butter, softened1/2 cup Crisco3 cups sugar5 -- eggs3 cups cake flour1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder1/2 teaspoon salt1/2 cup Droste (or other ) cocoa1 cup sweet milk1 tablespoon vanilla Instructions Cream butter, crisco, sugar. Add eggs to above mixture and beat until sugar is dissolved. Sift together flour, baking powder,salt, cocoa. To creamed mixture, add sifted ingredients alternately with sweet milk. Add vanilla. BAKE @ 325 for 1 hour & 20 minutes. Let stand for 5 minutes, turn out from pan and let cool.
