Chocolate Pecan Pie

1unit 10" pie crust - partially baked
3units (squares) unsweetened chocolate
1tablespoon water
4tablespoons butter
1teaspoon coffee powder
4-- eggs
2/3cup sugar
1cup dark corn syrup
1teaspoon vanilla
2tablespoons rum
2cups pecans


  • Melt first 4 ingredients (choc, water, butter, coffee)together in microwave. 
  • Beat eggs till mixed. 
  • Beat in sugar and syrup til mixed. 
  • Add liquids and melted chocolate mixture. 
  • Put pecans in pie shell. 
  • Pour liquid mixture over nuts. 
  • Bake at 350 for 40-50 inutes, until mixture wiggles and knife comes out slightly chocolatey.
