You are here: Home » Recipes » Chocolate Divinty Chocolate Divinty Recipe by keithajc Yield 3 1/2 dozen PrintEmail Ingredients 1 cup sugar2/3 cup water1/2 cup light corn syrup1 -- egg white stiffly beaten3 -- squares bakers unsweetened melted and cooled1 teaspoon vanilla1 cup cut nut meats coarsely broken1 dash salt Instructions Cook half cup of sugar and third cup of water together until a small amount of syrup forms a medium hard ball in cold water. Cook remaining sugar, water and corn syrup together until small amount of syrup forms a hard ball in cold water. Remove first syrup from fire, cool slightly, and pour slowly over egg whites, beating constantly until mixture loses its gloss approx. 1 1/2 minutes. Then add second syrup slowly, beating as before. When nearly cool, fold in chocolate, vanilla, nuts and salt. Turn into greased 8 X 8 X 2 inch pan. Cool until firm. Cut into pieces 1 X 1 1/2 inches.
