Chicken with Red Wine

  • Yield 4 to 6 servings

This chicken dish must be prepared a day ahead of time, but it is well worth the wait!


1 cup red wine
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup salad oil
2 tablespoons water
1 -- garlic clove, minced
1 teaspoon ginger
1/4 teaspoon oregano
1 tablespoon brown sugar
6 -- chicken breast halves


  1. Mix all ingredients and marinate chicken for 24 hours in a baking dish covered with aluminum foil.  Cook for 1 to 1/12 hours in a 350F oven, uncovered for the last 15 minutes to brown.  Pan juices may be used for gravy.
