Chicken Stock

  • Yield: 12 cups

The amount of each ingredient is based entirely upon how strong you want the flavors to be. Experiment to find what works best for your needs.

Ingredients

1 (3-pound) fryer chicken
Carrots
Onions
Black peppercorns
Parsley

Instructions

  1. Place ingredients in 4-quart saucepan or Dutch oven. Simmer on stove for 3-4 hours. Strain, and use for soups, stews, and this Quick Chicken and Dumplings.
