Chewy Double Chocolate Orange Cookies

Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 -- eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 teaspoon orange extract
- 2 cups flour
- 3/4 cup cocoa
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chocolate covered orange jelly sticks, cut in 1/4 inch pieces
Instructions
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, orange extract and vanilla; blend well. Combine flour, cocoa, soda and salt; blend into creamed mixture. Gently stir in chips and orange stick pieces. Drop by teaspoonsful onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 8-9 minutes. Do not over bake! Cookie will be soft. They will puff during baking, flatten upon cooling.) Cool on cookie sheet until set, about 1 minute; remove to wire rack to cool.
