Caramel Icing or Brown Sugar Icing
- 1 stick butter
- 1 cup brown sugar (packed)
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- Melt the butter in saucepan. Add the brown sugar and the milk. Bring to a boil. Let cool. Add powdered sugar to spreading consistency — it may take more than the 2 cups. Spread immediately onto cake. Cover cake to keep moist.
