California Olives Enhanced!

Ingredients

1/2medium fresh orange
1medium fresh lemon
2small red hot peppers
1tablespoon fresh thyme
1tablespoon fresh oregano
1/2tablespoon fresh rosemary
1can California black olives, rinsed and drained
1/2cup extra-virgin olive oil

Instructions

  1. Peel only the orange part of the orange peel, and slice lengthwise into thin slices.
  2. Peel only the yellow part of the lemon peel, and slice lengthwise into thin slices.
  3. Rinse the hot peppers and herbs.
  4. Put all ingredients in a 16-ounce glass canning jar. Fill with olive oil. Secure lid.
  5. Leave the jar on a counter for a week before opening.
