Buttermilk Ice Cream

'This frosty treat is delicious alone or when served with a sweet-tart accent like cherry preserves.'
- 1 quart buttermilk
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 (12-ounce) can evaporated milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Combine the buttermilk, sugar, evaporated milk, and vanilla in a bowl. Stir until the sugar dissolves. Pour into an ice cream freezer, and freeze according to the manufacturer’s directions.
