Buttermilk Brownies

Ingredients
- 2 sticks butter or margarine
- 1 cup water
- 4 tablespoons cocoa
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 -- eggs
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 stick butter
- 4 tablespoons cocoa
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1 pound powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions

Bring 2 sticks butter or margarine, water, and 4 T. cocoa to a boil.

Sift together sugar, flour, salt, and baking soda.

Add dry ingredients to hot mix.

Add eggs, buttermilk, and 1 t. vanilla.

Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 min. in 13 x 9 cake pan.

Bring 1 stick butter, 4 T. cocoa and milk to a boil for frosting.

Add powdered sugar and 1 t. vanilla.

Stir well and frost.
