PrintEmail Ingredients 3 -- egg whites dash salt3/4 cup sugar3/4 cup fine chocolate water crumbs1/2 cup chopped pecans1/2 teaspoon vanilla1/2 pint cream, whipped and sweetened1 -- square unsweetened chocolate, shaved Instructions Beat egg whites and salt until soft peaks form. Gradually add sugar, beating until stiff peaks form. Fold in crumbs, nuts and vanilla. Spread evently in lightly buttered 9-inch pie plate. Bake in slow oven, 325F for 35 minutes. Cool thoroughly. Spread top with sweetened whipped cream. Chill 3 to 4 hours. Trim with curls and shaved chocolate.
