Brownie Pie with Shaved Chocolate and Whipped Cream
- Yield: 6 servings
- 3-- egg whites
- dash salt
- 3/4cup sugar
- 3/4cup fine chocolate water crumbs
- 1/2cup chopped pecans
- 1/2teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2pint cream, whipped and sweetened
- 1-- square unsweetened chocolate, shaved
- Beat egg whites and salt until soft peaks form. Gradually add sugar, beating until stiff peaks form. Fold in crumbs, nuts and vanilla. Spread evently in lightly buttered 9-inch pie plate. Bake in slow oven, 325F for 35 minutes. Cool thoroughly. Spread top with sweetened whipped cream. Chill 3 to 4 hours. Trim with curls and shaved chocolate.
