Brownie Pie with Shaved Chocolate and Whipped Cream

  • Yield: 6 servings


3-- egg whites
dash salt
3/4cup sugar
3/4cup fine chocolate water crumbs
1/2cup chopped pecans
1/2teaspoon vanilla
1/2pint cream, whipped and sweetened
1-- square unsweetened chocolate, shaved


  1. Beat egg whites and salt until soft peaks form.  Gradually add sugar, beating until stiff peaks form.  Fold in crumbs, nuts and vanilla.  Spread evently in lightly buttered 9-inch pie plate.  Bake in slow oven, 325F for 35 minutes.  Cool thoroughly.  Spread top with sweetened whipped cream.  Chill 3 to 4 hours.  Trim with curls and shaved chocolate.
