Brownie Pie with Shaved Chocolate and Whipped Cream

  • Yield 6 servings

A delicious chocolaty brownie baked in a pie plate and served up with chocolate shavings and whipped cream.


3 -- egg whites
dash salt
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup fine chocolate water crumbs
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 pint cream, whipped and sweetened
1 -- square unsweetened chocolate, shaved


  1. Beat egg whites and salt until soft peaks form.  Gradually add sugar, beating until stiff peaks form.  Fold in crumbs, nuts and vanilla.  Spread evently in lightly buttered 9-inch pie plate.  Bake in slow oven, 325F for 35 minutes.  Cool thoroughly.  Spread top with sweetened whipped cream.  Chill 3 to 4 hours.  Trim with curls and shaved chocolate.
