Bourbon Pie

This rich pie is surprisingly easy to make.

Ingredients

2 cups granulated sugar
4 -- eggs
1/4 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons bourbon
1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
1 1/2 teaspoons cornmeal
1 1/2 teaspoons all-purpose flour
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
1 -- uncooked pie shell

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.  Whisk all ingredients (except pie shell) together and pour into pie shell. Bake 35 minutes or until top is crusty.
