Bona Mary’s Raisin Pudding

This is a recipe from my 75-year-old friend's mother. It is easy and quick, and people love it.

Ingredients

1cup all-purpose flour
2teaspoons baking powder
1/4cup granuated sugar
1pinch salt
1/2cup 2 percent reduced-fat milk
1cup California raisins
1cup brown sugar
2cups boiling water
2teaspoons butter

Instructions

  1. Mix and sift dry ingredients.
  2. Add milk and raisins and mix well.
  3. Pour into a buttered 2-quart deep baking dish.
  4. Combine brown sugar, boiling water and butter ; pour over raisin batter.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees for about 40 minutes.
