Black Forest Pie

  • Yield 6-8 servings


1 -- graham cracker pie crust
8 ounces Cool Whip, thawed
1 -- package instant chocolate pudding
1 cup cold milk
1 cup cherry pie filling


Spread 1 cup of Cool Whip in the bottom of the pie crust.  Mix pudding and milk with a whisk for l minute.  Fold in 1 1/2 cup of Cool Whip.  Put pudding mixture in the pie crust on top of the layer of Cool Whip.  Spread remaining Cool Whip on the top, heaping it up around the edges and leaving a depression in the middle.  Fill the depression with cherry pie filling.  Chill for at least 2 hours.
