Best-Ever Walnut Pie

Ingredients
- 1-1/2 cup dark corn syrup
- 4 -- eggs, lightly beaten
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1-1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 cups walnut pieces
- 1 -- unbaked 9-inch pie shell
Instructions

In large bowl combine syrup, eggs, salt, sugar and vanilla. Stir briskly until well blended. Don’t beat because you don’t want to make foam. Stir in nuts.

Pour mixture into prepared pie shell.

Bake in 400F oven 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350F; Bake about 40 minutes more, just until edges are set and center trembles slightly.

Remove from oven. Garnish with softly whipped cream if desired.
