Best Chocolate Cake

Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 3/4 cup water
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 4 ounces melted, unsweetened chocolate (cooled)

Instructions
- Heat oven to 350F. Grease and flour 2 (9-inch) round cake pans or a 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
- Measure all ingredients into large mixing bowl. Blend 30 seconds on low speed, scraping constantly. Beat 3 minutes at high speed, scraping bowl occasionally.
- Pour into pan. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until wooden tooth pick inserted in center comes out clean.
- Cool and frost with a chocolate or mocha frosting.
