Beef Tongue

  • Yield 6-8 servings


2 whole Beef Tongue
1 head Garlic
1 whole Onion
2 tablespoons Salt
2 cups Water
1 package Corn Tortillas
1 medium avocados
1 large tomatoe
1/2 small onion
1 small jalapeno, seeded if you'd like


Place first 5 ingredients on High in a large crockpot. 

Cover and cook for 6-8 hours until Tongue is fork tender.

Shred Tongue, heat tortillas on griddle and service w/ pico de Gallo

Pico de gallo: Dice avocado, tomato, 1/2 onion and jalapeno, add a dash of salt.

Serve warm and enjoy!
