Basic Beer Bread
- Yield: 7 to 9 servings
- 3cups self-rising flour
- 1/2cup sugar
- 1 (12-ounce) can beer
- 1/4cup (1/2 stick) butter, melted
- Combine the flour, sugar and beer in a bowl and stir just until moistened. Spoon the batter into a loaf pan coated with nonstick cooking spray. Bake in a preheated 350F oven for 30 minutes. Pour the melted butter evenly over the top of the bread. Bake for 15 minutes longer. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Remove to a wire rack to cool.
