PrintEmail Ingredients 10 candy caramels2 cups milk1/3 cup flour1/3 cup sugar1/4 teaspoon salt3 slightly beaten egg yolks1 teaspoon vanilla2 bananas1 baked pie shell1 cup heavy cream, whipped Instructions Melt caramels in milk over low heat. Combine flour, sugar and salt in double boiler. Add caramel-milk mixture and cook over water until thick, stirring constantly. Add beaten egg yolks to which a little hot mixture has been added. Cook 5 minutes longer, stirring. Remove from heat. Add vanilla, cover and chill. Arrange 2 sliced bananas on bakied pie shell. Cover with filling. Top with whipped cream.
